Abrupt Ending to a Decade-Long Friendship?

My client, in her thirties, of British nationality, came for a Past Life Regression therapy session to understand about the abrupt ending of her 10 year-long friendship with someone whom she regarded as her best friend, leaving her perplexed and seeking clarity through the session. She regressed to a time in ancient Greece and through the regression, she understood the origins of this issue.

Below is her PLR experience:

Client: "I’m in an ancient city, made from stone. It is white / cream in colour. It’s busy. There are people everywhere. They are working. They wear peasant clothes; loose materials, rags. Some people are transporting goods, some are messing around with their friends. Their skin colour are like people of Greek, Egyptian or Mediterranean origin."

"I’m a man. Very strong, tall and tanned. I’m wearing sandals. I’m carrying a log over my shoulder. It’s a very simple life – old and ancient."

Me: "Go to the place where you live"

Client: "I live in a 2-storey house made of white clay, with a balcony. It’s terraced. There are other houses next to it. Inside the house, there are mats on the floor. There is a stove fireplace. It is used to heat some tea. The first storey is a kitchen and living room. The second storey is a bedroom."

Me: "What country are you in?"

Client: "I’m in Greece."

Me: "Do you live alone or with anyone?"

Client: "I have a mum and a brother. I’m somewhere in my late twenties to early thirties. We are eating chopped tomato and cucumber, with bread, olive oil and cheese."

"I have a good relationship with my younger brother. We get on well. He admires me and looks up to me. We do many things together."

I moved client forward to the next scene:

Client: "My brother is in distress and needs my help. He’s panicking. I can’t understand him. He’s speaking in another language."

I guided the client to understand what the brother, in his mid-twenties, was saying. During the past life regression session, if the client isn’t able to understand what a person is saying in the past life scene, due to a different language, I will guide them to understand the dialogue or communication taking place.

Client: "He is saying, “You have to come and help! There’s a collapse!” He’s in panic."

"His friends were in some sort of cave, the roof caved in and they were trapped in the rubble. There’s nothing I can do. I feel like I can’t help him."

"I’m trying to tell my brother that there’s nothing we could do. The stones are too heavy to lift. I told him that they shouldn’t have been in there in the first place. My brother was just outside when it happened."

"After that incident, my brother resented me. He changed. A part of him died that day. He really resented me and sort of blamed me in many ways. He felt judged by me as I had warned him against going there. He was tired of me being right. He felt that we should have tried but we didn’t even try."

"I tried to tell him that it was futile. There was nothing that could be done. We had gone to the cave but found that the entrance to the cave was totally blocked. He was in a lot of guilt. If things had somehow been different, his friends could have been saved. But the stones were too heavy, none of us could lift it. I don’t know if they were doing something with dynamite that caused it to rupture, but they were doing something they shouldn’t.”

I moved client forward to the end of life.

Client: "I had regrets about how I reacted towards my brother, I wish I hadn’t made him feel small, in that he was somehow lesser. I could have been more tactful in how I approached him and cared for him. It was never the same after that, ‘cos it really affected his life. He struggled to let go of what happened and blamed me in many ways. I wish I had helped or had tried to move the rocks for his sake, that I tried to help when he needed me."

I facilitated a healing and forgiveness session to help the client to heal and let go.  After the session, I asked the client to reflect if there were parallels in this current life and the past life. She replied affirmatively, recognizing a pattern in her behavior towards her friend. She realised that she had previously reacted similarly towards her friend, being highly critical and judgemental of her friend’s actions.

She had unconsciously carried forward the same behavioural traits to this life, treating her friend in the same manner as she had treated the younger brother in the past life. Therefore, her friend's reactions were unsurprising, given the dynamics at play. She is uncertain if their friendship would improve, but she expressed a sense of relief as she had a deeper understanding of where this issue originated from.

Client's feedback after PLR session - Unknown sadness and grudge towards mother

Client used to have unknown sadness inside her heart since she was young and didn't know the cause. She also had an emotional relationship with her mother and they couldn't see eye to eye. (Looking through my client's cases, I find that many women have issues with their mothers). She also had the habit of wrist-biting for a number of years. A week after her first PLR session, I was happy to receive the following message from her:

"After my PLR session last week, I noticed that the unknown sadness that I have had for a few years is gone. I don't have anymore hate and grudge towards my parents anymore. My relationship with my mother has become better. I now can sit and listen to her without any anger inside me. I also noticed the habit of biting my wrist has also become less frequent".

Looking forward to her next session.

Talk on Phobias, Panic attacks and Relationship issues

I will be giving a talk on “Phobias, panic attacks and relationship issues - A past life regression perspective” on Saturday, 28 October 2017, 8.30 pm at the invitation of Persatuan Buddhist Hilir Perak, Teluk Intan.

Lessons on relationship mistakes in previous life

Client wanted to find out the connection to her current life boyfriend and went to 3 lifetimes in her first past life regression session. They were together in 2 different lifetimes and she learned many valuable lessons from her previous lives and not to repeat those mistakes in this life.

I’m in a big dancing hall alone. Sunshine is coming in from the many windows there. The floor is chequered black and white, made from a kind of marble. There is an arch in the hall. I’m barefooted. I’m wearing white clothes which consist of two layers. It has a rough texture. The outside layer is transparent white and the inside is white and made of glossy silk. There is a ribbon around my waist. I’m a little girl, five years old. My skin colour is white and pink. I have golden, long hair which is slightly curly at the end and falls over my shoulder. My parents are upstairs.

Next scene:
I’m in the garden. It’s my birthday. I’m 18 years old. I walk around in the garden alone. I come to the verandah. I see flowers and a yellow butterfly. I feel happy when I look at the butterfly. It’s flying around the flowers. I read daily. I am currently reading a blue hardcover book.

Next scene:
It is my wedding day. I’m wearing white. My hair has flowers on it. The wedding is held in a garden. My husband is standing beside me. He is a white man with a sharp nose. He is wearing a tuxedo and a bow tie. The year is 1865 in a western country. Many people are walking around with their wine glass. They are chit chatting. I see my father. He's very tall. He has a big moustache. He is serious looking. I recognise him as my father in my current life. He asks me to run. He says, “Danger” but I don’t know why he said that.

The marriage is some kind of politics. It was an arranged marriage. The guy I am marrying - His father is somebody high ranking. My father did not agree to the marriage. My grandparents arranged my marriage. My grandfather is plump, has white hair and a white moustache. He was in the army in Germany. He is quite high ranking in the army. I see badges from his picture, hanging on the wall. There is a yellow and red ribbon, and the badge is gold colour. Everyone is scared of him and listens to him.

I’m walking away from the living hall, with my husband holding my hand. We walk back to the garden again. The people have left. The maids are cleaning.
The wedding was held at our own house. I’m walking back to the kitchen to drink water. I see a kitten, grey and black stripe, with white paws under the table.

End of life:
I’m in a coffin. I died because of cancer of the lungs. I’m 72 years old. My husband is not around. We only had one son. He feels sad, but he is not crying. He is 27 years old. I had a plump female maid who helped me in the house. My maid is crying at my death.

The cause of lung cancer was because I had smoked for a long time. I was not happy with my relationship. After getting married, my husband was always not around. I was alone at home, every day. I cried every day. I felt like I was not married despite being married. Our relationship was distant. We hardly communicated to each other as he was often away as he is with the navy. My husband left the house, when he was 50 years old. He was married to me for 30 years, then he left the house. He later married another girl.  He didn’t come back. This son is adopted. That’s why my son doesn’t love me.

During my lifetime, I didn’t have to work for a living. I lived quite a privileged life. While my husband is out at work, I read and sit at home. I recognise my husband as my current life boyfriend.

Funeral
I’m in a coffin in a church. There are people around, all wearing black. They feel sad for me. I don’t feel sad. I’m happy now. I want to leave because my adopted son also doesn’t like me. They carry the coffin to the graveyard, just outside the church. It is called St. Ives church. It is a small catholic church. They buried me under a big tree. There’s no tombstone yet. They put flowers on top.

Reflection and lessons learned
I must communicate with everyone more. In that lifetime, there was lack of communication, especially with my son and my husband. That’s why we were not happy.

In the beginning I loved him. Two years later, I didn’t like him, because I knew that his female cousin loved him. I was too emotional, during my marriage life. I had too many negative thoughts about him. I judged him wrongly. I thought he had a girlfriend, but he did not. After he left me, then he found one. He left me, after so many years of marriage because I made him frustrated. I was too emotional. I cried in front of him. I didn’t trust him when he was away. He got tired of that and that’s why he didn’t like to go home. He didn’t like to see me when I kept ‘attacking’ him like that. We quarrelled when he came home. Each time I would cry in front of him. He hates that. The negative relationship was the reason why we didn’t have kids.

My maid was always with me. She was been with me for thirty years. I recognise her as my current life sister, whom I’m very close to in the current life. I was very close to my maid in that life. We talked about everything. She came to my house after my husband left me and stayed with me. We always chit-chat in the kitchen. She usually cooks fish because I like to eat fish. My maid stayed unmarried. She hates men betraying women. She is younger than me.

Client realises that she should not repeat those mistakes that she made in that lifetime and to improve communication skills with her boyfriend and people in her life.

(Next lifetime to be continued in next post.)

Past lifetime of being sold and forced into child prostitution

Client found the reason for her feelings of insecurity, feeling unloved and fear of abandonment. She regressed to 3 past lives which had the common theme of abandonment by family members. In the first past life, she was a boy who was abandoned by his parents and became a child beggar in India. In this past lifetime, she was sold off by her parents into a sex trafficking ring in Russia, in the 1920's.

“I am walking through a corridor. It is long and dark. The wall is reddish brown and dark in colour. There are many rooms there. Many doors are closed. I’m in front of a door. I open the door. I can see a bed. The room is nice and clean. There’s nobody inside.”

Next scene:
“I’m sitting on the bed. A man walks in. I’m a prostitute. I’m servicing the man. I’m white skinned. I have straight long blonde hair. I’m a Russian girl. I’m just 16 years old.”

“There’s a club which organises a party. I’m working there. In the party there were many girls and men. The men are all in a suit….but most girls are young same age as me, 16 years old.”

“The year is 1920. I was sold to a club owner. My parents had sold me when I was 8 years old and I have been working there since I was 8 years old. My parents are gamblers. They needed the money, that’s why they sold me there. They did not bother about me, they are happy when they see money. The club owner is a man with beard. He looks like a rich man around fifty years old.”

I have my own income, but I’m not rich. I live in a hostel with other girls around the same age as me. The room has many double decker beds. There are more than 10 of us in the room. We were locked up there and could not escape. I feel like I cannot control my life. I feel lost.”

“The room looks like a cage. It looks a prison. There are metal bars. That’s where we stay. I feel that this is my home already. I felt that I had no choice but to accept it.”

“I’m just playing with my hair. It’s my rest day. I’m in the room only. I can’t go out. I’m on my own bed. There are walls but there are also metal bars. There is a toilet inside the room. The ceiling is high. It looks like a prison. The window is also high. We couldn’t even reach the window.”

“Inside the building, it is bright. There are many lights. There are many rooms for all the girls. It is a big scale operation. It’s in Russia. I can see the words, but I can’t read them.”

Next scene:
“The police came. They put me into a lockup. They took other girls as well. I’m alone in a lockup.”

Sibling rivalry in present and past life

Past life as a child beggar in India

Client found the reason for her feelings of insecurity, unhappiness, feeling unloved and fear of abandonment. She regressed to 3 past lives which had the common theme of being abandoned by family members. The first past life that she regressed to was in India.

“Insecurity and fear of abandonment is often related to past life memories of literal abandonment: being orphaned, sold into slavery, left out to die in times of famine, separated from loved ones during a crisis or a war, etc”. - Roger Woolger (“Other Lives, Other Selves”, 1987)
Image for illustration purposes only. Source: http://imgkid.com/indian-child-beggar.shtml

“I’m at a very long road. There’s an empty land beside the road. It is at night. There are palm trees along the road, making it look scary. There is no light. I can’t see anything. I am barefoot. I’m wearing dirty clothes. I’m male, six years old.”

Me: “Where did you come from?”

Client: “From my house -- A wooden house. Looks like a Kampung (village) house with attap roof. I came to look for food. I’m a beggar. I have no parents. I just beg for money or food from people.”

“I’m in front of a row of shoplots. There are many people there. I’m sitting there begging for money, I'm very dirty.”

Me: “Which country are you in?”

Client: “I’m in India. But my skin is not dark. I look like a Chinese or mixed. I had brown hair and brown skin.”

I moved client to an earlier time in that life to find out what happened.

“I’m at home with my parents. My parents are not Asians. I feel loved. I’m happy. I’m two years old. I wear nice clothes and looked rich. I have a nice house. I lived in Hong KongIt is a bungalow, single storey, with a big landscaped garden in front of the house. The gate is black. I am playing around in the garden. I’m the only child in the family. I had no sisters or brothers.”

“My parents looked sad. Something happened to them…….Something about their business. There was some problem with my father's business. They are busy packing. They look nervous. They need to run away. Something happened to the business. They lost quite a lot of money. They owed people money. They are busy packing. They plan to leave by boat.”

Next scene
“They are on a ferry. I’m waving at them. I’m not with them. They send me to another couple. My parents are waving at me. They didn’t tell me anything. They look happy.”

“The couple are two old ladies. They are church sisters…white ladies. I’m wearing a jumpsuit with white colour t-shirt and black shoes. I’m with the sister. That sister brings me back to the church. There’s an orphanage inside the church."

"I got adopted by a dark skinned couple. They are a young couple. They are my new parents. I’m brought to a house with Asian decoration and wooden furniture. They are not poor. It is a big house. The new mother, looks serious. The father looks ok.”

“I felt that I had no freedom in that house. There were a lot of restrictions. There were many children there. I was given a role. My duty is to get money for the family. I was trained to become a beggar. Other children were trained to beg as well.”

“All we had to do was to sit there. My new mother said, because I looked cute, people will give me money. I just needed to sit on the floor. Then, I just pass the money to my new parents. I don't get anything. I don't get enough food also. That’s why I go out to look for food.”

“I just walk back to the road lined with palm trees. I am walking along the road. I am looking for food. I’m hungry. I’m tired. I didn’t miss my parents. I just want food. I just walk out to look for food from other families. If I am lucky, they will give me some food.”

"I didn’t manage to get food. But I don’t feel sad. I am still singing while I’m walking. The road is so dark. It’s midnight. I can’t even see what’s in front. I keep on walking. It’s cold because my shirt is not a proper shirt. I’m skinny. I’m six years old now. I’m still walking." (Client is back to the first scene that she saw in the regression)

Next scene:
"I’m back to the same street. I can see daylight already. There are a lot of working people on the street. It’s a modern town. No one is looking at me. I keep on walking. I’m begging money in the streets. I just say, “Give me money” and gestured with my hand. I didn't get food but I got used to it."

Medieval past life as squire in a castle

A participant found the reason behind her unexplainable intense feeling of hatred with someone in her life, during a group past life regression workshop.

A group session is different from a private session, because in a group session, the whole group will be guided to view their past lives (like a guided meditation), then record it down in writing when the session is over. In a private session, I can ask questions, give instructions or 'move' my clients forwards or backwards in time to an important event in that lifetime. A group PLR session is shorter and not as detailed as a one-to-one session.

Source: Wikimedia

"I saw myself as a young man, as a page boy or a servant (squire). I had fallen in love with the Lord’s daughter. He was not happy about it. He came up with a scheme to get rid of me."

"I was shot. There was an arrow in my back. As I lay dying, the Lord is sneering and jeering at me - “What made you think you could fall in love with my daughter? You are beneath my station.”

"I came to a realisation that she didn't love me enough anyway. But the experience of falling in love with her gave me the courage to pursue her. I had the courage to live, only to find out that it wasn’t really that real anyway."

Current life connection
"I recognised the Lord and the girl I loved as people I know in the current life. It explains why I did not like this person who was the Lord in the past life. I started off wanting to befriend this person, but this person did not appreciate the friendship. We were friends for a very short while. All of a sudden it turned into intense hatred and I had no idea where it came from. My intention is to learn how to forgive this person."

Past lifetime as a homosexual man from European royalty in 17th century Europe

Client saw several past lives with regards to her current life inability to sustain a romantic relationship. She went back to past lives that were of a similar theme. She had regressed to a loveless marriage in US and also a loveless marriage as a Dayak man in Borneo. Then she saw her life as a happy young girl in England who was later murdered before she could get married. Finally, to she regressed to Europe in the 17th century as a homosexual man from European royalty

“I see a man. He reminds me of European royalty. He's wearing a suit. He’s in his thirties. He’s at an age where he should get married. It’s inside a palace. It’s a very big grand palace. There are lots of people. There’s a ball. I can see people coming.”

“This guy is feeling impatient. He can’t wait to get away from all of this. His mother wants to introduce him to society, but he doesn't want to know anybody there, there are no girls that he likes there. He's just waiting for the ball to finish. He felt that it was such a nuisance.”

“He likes guys, there’s someone that he meets up after all this. One of the workers in the palace. He has a good friend, a girl who knows his secret. He's gay.”

“He really likes the guy, he can’t help himself. This boyfriend is really scared that people would find out, but he doesn’t care, and he drinks a lot.”

“The year is 1699. It’s a European country. I get the name Warsaw, Poland.”

“I see him running from the castle. It’s icy cold. He’s running after his lover. He’s so tormented. He just hates who he is. He can’t help himself. He's asking his lover not to go. The lover was running away. He (the lover) is the only thing that he feels is real. Everything else is just a facade. He tries to keep up appearances.”

“However, he was still forced to get married to a girl, to a princess or something. The name of the lady that he was asked to get married sounds like Princess Madga…… ‘Magdalene’. She is not very attractive. He agreed to marry this lady. He knows that his lover and him is not going to go anywhere. So, he agreed to get married to this princess.”

“They are unhappy. She knows his secret. He’s so tormented. I feel so sorry for him. They have three kids - Two boys and a girl. She keeps the kids away from him. He loves his kids. But he is still longing for his lover. But the wife made sure that the lover just disappeared somewhere.”

Next scene:
“He’s on a ship. It’s like a warship. He’s going to war. They are sailing to England. I don’t know if it’s against England or they join forces with England. He's become a good general, a good commander. I think they are going against France.”

“It’s like the war didn’t happen. They had some kind of secret meeting”.

“I see three ships there - from England, France and my ship. All three leaders are talking, trying to come to a resolution. They are at Versailles now. I don’t think a war happened”.

“I can see houses by the cliff. I really like the cliffs.”

“I was happy being on the ship. In Versailles, I could be who I wanted to be. They accepted homosexuals there. I could do what I wanted to do. I didn’t want to go back home.”

“I found a nice boyfriend. I’m with a man, he has dark hair. A little short. I was opened with my homosexuality but he wasn’t. I was just having a good time there and I missed the place.”

End of life:
“I became a military man. I spent most of my life in the military. I was very old. I’m an old man. I did go back to my wife and children, but now that I'm old, close to death, I see them but I'm a stranger to them.”

“I had come back from a battle. I was wounded badly. A priest came and said some prayers. He burnt some incense.”

“I died and was buried with my sword. I didn’t have any regrets. I was happy that I met that man that I loved in Versailles. I felt that he was the one that I really loved. I’ve no regrets. I’ve lived my life the way I wanted. It was almost like I was contented when I died.”

Spirit realm:
“I see three older men, they are wearing robes. They have books in front of them. One doesn’t really speak. They sat at a table. Another man has white hair, wearing a brown robe. He's looking at the books. I’m standing in front of them. They are judging me….Telling me what I did wrong and right.”

“They told me, “Listen to your heart”. They said that I did something good and something that was good and something that wasn’t good. There’s one that’s very vocal. He's talking about a book. He said, “Follow the book”.

Me: “What book is that?”

Client: “A book where your destiny is written from it. He said I didn’t follow some of the things I was supposed to. So they have to send me back to learn my lesson again. He's saying go back and learn your lesson.”

Me: “What is the lesson that you needed to learn?”

Client: “That I’m responsible for the consequences of my actions, that I need to go back for learn, it’s like I never learnt the lesson. Through all these lifetimes, I never learnt the consequences of my actions. It’s like I always did the wrong thing.”

“He keeps asking me to go back. He said that in my past lives, I've always caused my family to suffer. I always caused pain to the people. They told me, “You have to get it right this time. They said that I have to create a happy family this time. He said if I don’t get it right this time, he can’t help me. It’s almost like I made this mistake too many times.

“For that life, as a young girl that got killed, they gave me happiness. They gave me the joy of being in a good family, for having a good life. That was the point of that life, to be happy….To experience joy of being with a good family. To know the joy that comes from a happy family. That was the purpose of that life. That lifetime as a Dayak, they wanted me to build responsibility. Each lifetime, was to build something. I needed to learn what sense of responsibility is, and after that to know what joy is.”

“The last lifetime in Europe - that life was complicated. They tell me that I have to find the right balance, and to listen to my heart.”

Past lifetime in England as a happy girl who was later murdered

Client regressed to a lifetime as a young girl in England who was so happy and excited about the thought of getting married. However, her happiness was short-lived as she was murdered by a psychopath who was attracted to her but knew that she wouldn’t love him. She had earlier regressed to her past life in a loveless marriage in US and as a Dayak man in Borneo.

Client watched her past life from a third person point of view, like watching a movie. This is one of the ways that a person views his/her past lives.

“I see a lady. It feels like in England. She is wearing a black hat. She was looking at something.”

“I’m outdoors. It’s a little cold.” (Client can feel the cold temperature)

“I see her walking. She’s quite young. She looks like me in the current life. She has the same face and cheeks. She’s still young, 18 years old. She’s eager to get married. The idea of getting married excites her. She seems like a very happy person.”

“Seems everything is going well for her. She has good friends,… good parents. Nice house that she lived in. Men are interested in her. She’s funny. She laughs a lot.”

“She’s just so pleasant to be with. I can feel the joy in the body. She’s just happy. She’s so optimistic about everything.”

Next scene:
“I see this man looking at her. He’s not a nice man. He wants to do something bad. He did something bad to her.”

“He killed her.”

“He liked her. But he knew she wouldn’t like him. Because he couldn’t have her, he killed her.”

“She had seen him before but she never really talked to him. He was just a face in a crowd. She knew that face. It was one of the faces at the dinner table that she would see. It was at a gathering among friends that was hosted by a group of parents. They did this quite often. He was once of the faces at the dinner table. From afar he would just look at her.”

I asked client to elaborate how she was killed.

“He followed her. She is at an alley. He closed her mouth using his hand and pulled her. At first she was shocked, and asked, “What are you doing?””

Client said, “I blacked out, my clothes are intact. My eyes are open. I am on the ground. I don’t see blood. He beat me. I don’t think he used any weapon. He just used his bare hands. He said, as he was punching me, that I played him with his feelings, he called me something like a dirty ……, he's just bashing me…. Like I was a tease…… Like I teased him.”

“He was just someone I saw. I had not spoken to him before this. I didn’t say anything, I just wanted him to stop. I knew he was going to kill me.”

Me: “Did you have any boyfriend at that time?”

Client: “No, the parents were the ones who had to agree which boy was suited for me. I didn't have anybody in particular.”

Transition to the spirit realm:
“I see the sky. It’s like I’m just saying a prayer, I wanted to get married, how could I die before I got married? That was the thought in my head as I was going to the light.

“I’m floating up to the sky. It was very peaceful, ….just peaceful. I’m going up. Going towards the sky. Straight up.”

Next scene:
“I’m in a room, pacing up and down. It’s like, “How could I die? How could I die?” It’s like I want to go back to earth.”

Me: “How do you look like?”

Client: “I still look like the way I did when I died. That happiness, I felt as a person, I still feel it. The joy never left me. It’s still inside me. It’s like I had so much to give. I can’t die yet. I’m asking to go back, doesn’t matter, just go back.”

Client went to another lifetime in that regression session. Read her next lifetime here

Comment: It is generally not scary to view a past lifetime of traumatic death, as the client is watching it with a higher wisdom and from a third party point of view, like watching a movie. Seeing their past lives gives clients a deeper understanding about the challenges or obstacles faced in the current life. The past lives that she regressed to in connection to her current life inability to sustain a romantic relationship seemed to have a pattern of loveless marriage or in this case, she died before she could get married.

Past life as a Dayak man in Borneo

Client, who earlier regressed to her past life in a loveless marriage in USA, now regressed to another lifetime as a Dayak man in Borneo in her second PLR session. It was also a loveless marriage.

"The ground is a little muddy. I’m not wearing any shoes. It feels like I have man’s feet. I’m wearing tribal clothes….looks like a short skirt, and I’m wearing a feather head band. I have a spear in my hand."

"I’m male, quite dark skinned in my forties. I have black, straight, shoulder-length hair."

"I’m alone. I can see a river. I can see trees. I’m hunting for food. I usually use the spear to get fishes from the river. I line them up using the spear."

"I walk home. I live in the forest. There’s a village. I see my house, made out of wood."

"I see my wife. I have three boys. My wife is preparing the food inside the house. She smiles at me. They use firewood. The big pots are made out of metal."

"My wife is wearing a cloth, like a sarong but bare shouldered. The three boys are not wearing any clothes, just underwear. They are quite dark-skinned."

Next scene:
"My wife is sick. She caught some illness. She’s really ill.  I think she’s going to die."

Next scene:
"I feel a bit sad, my wife has died. She’s in her thirties. I’m just thinking how to take care of the children. I see a lot of other women villagers sitting down mourning."

Next scene:
"I’m moving on my life, doing chores. The house is on stilts. I’m doing something under the house. I’m cleaning up. I don’t really care about the children. I’m more concerned about finding a new wife as fast as possible."

"I’m getting ready to go to the river to find food. I feel pressure ‘cos now I don’t have a wife, I’m thinking who’s gonna feed the kids and take care of the house."

"I’m on a man-made sampan. I’m paddling in the river. It’s made of a long stick. I’m going to an island. I’m meeting some people there - my late wife’s family. I’m talking to these elders. I told them that my wife has died and that I didn’t know what to do. I went there for advice. They told me to remarry someone else."

"I’m going back to the village, and back to the children. I need to feed them."

Next scene:
"I’m looking for a wife. I’m just sitting outside my house, looking at the girls."

Next scene:
"I got married to an older, fat lady. She has long hair and is big-sized, not very attractive. She’s older than me. I think she might have other children. I chose her. She lived with me. She’s a good cook. She takes care of the house and children. We don’t really talk. It’s a marriage that is just very conventional. She takes care of the house. I bring home the food. There is no love there."

End of life:
"I died of food poisoning. I ate a meal and threw up. I don’t think it was done by my wife. The food was bad. I’m dead but not old. They placed my body on a sampan (boat) and let the sampan go. It is wooden. It’s a bit heavy and there are a lot of carvings at the side of the boat - tribal carvings. It feels like somewhere in Sarawak / Borneo. I’m a Dayak. My body goes to the sea. The sun rots the body. I just go wherever it takes me."

Last thoughts:
"By remarrying somebody who could take care of the kids, I felt that I had fulfilled my responsibility. I feel relieved that somebody else could take care of the kids."

Similarities to other past lives and current life
It wasn't a happy marriage. The marriage was not based on love, but more on convenience. In current life, client found it difficult to sustain a romantic relationship and had a history of several failed relationships.

Spirit realm
"In the sky there's a bright light from the sky. At first it’s a spot, now it’s big."

"I see a man. He’s in white….. like a police or something. He’s pointing at his watch, as if to say, “OK time to go”. He points to somewhere and tells me to go there. He led me there. It’s very dark. It’s like a cave but inside there’s a dark tunnel."

"I walk. It doesn’t hurt my feet. I feel like walking on earth. I am at the end of the tunnel. I see black gates. I’m a bit scared. There’s a tunnel at the side. I can choose to go to the gates, or the tunnel. I don’t want to go to the gates, I’m scared of it. I go for the other tunnel. It’s different. It’s not so dark."

"I move faster. Like I’m getting younger. I’ve become a baby."

Client went into another lifetime. (To be continued in subsequent post)

Past lifetime in Paris in year 1907

Client wanted to find out why she could never sustain a romantic relationship, with a repeated pattern of 7 failed relationships in the past. She also had the tendency to cut off family members over small issues. In her first PLR session, she regressed to her past life as a woman in USA who married a man she did not love, for what she thought was freedom, but the freedom was just an illusion. She moved to Paris to start a new life, attracted by the glitz and glamour. However all her dreams did not materialise and she died with regrets in that life. She sees some parallels to her current life.

Photo: Paris France Theatre Del' Opera postcard in 1907

I’m lying down at a tree. There is a corn field nearby.

I’m in a pink and white chequered dress. I have blonde hair, blue eyes and chewing on a corn stalk. I’m an 18 year-old girl. I am alone. I live nearby.

Next scene:
My house is red and some parts are white. It’s made of wood. It’s a house by itself. There are old stuff in the house. The wall paper is old and there are old lamps. There is an arm chair, and a rocking chair. There are flower designs on the wallpaper and carpet. From the outside it looks like a farm barnhouse, but from the inside, it looks like an old lady’s kind of house. There’s a well stocked kitchen.

Next scene:
I see an old lady and a young boy. She’s got white hair. The old lady looks after the young boy. She is his grandmother. There is a man, like an older brother. I see this man, a young boy, 8 years old and that lady. I feel like I’m not part of the family. I am outside looking in. It’s like I have to sneak and peep from outside, as I don’t want to them to catch me looking at them.

Next scene:
This man, who is my elder brother is pointing a long rifle at me. I’m at the porch. He doesn’t want me to go inside, he doesn’t want me. He wants to get rid of me. He said that I shouldn’t return to the family. His name is Henry Simon. He says, “Go home. Do not come back.”

My name is Katie. I’m in USA. Earlier, I had run away with another man and they are all mad at me. The man I chose is like a poor person, someone who just takes care of the horses. They are mad at me. They kinda cut me off.

Next scene:
I married the guy at office. I wear this nice long wedding gown, in white. For some reason, he’s still wearing that raggedy clothes. The office had yellow wallpaper. I see pews, benches. There’s barely 10 people there.

This guy I married, is like a handyman, a guy who works in a stable and doing odd jobs. “He doesn’t talk much. I don’t know why I married him.

I think I married him because I wanted to escape my family. He was freedom. He could do everything he wanted, go anywhere he wanted. I liked that idea. I don’t feel like I am in love with him.

I was attracted to that freedom… I thought that I would have that kind of freedom when I married him. I didn’t have that kind of freedom when I was staying with my family. My older brother was just too much, overprotective.

Next scene:
I see flashes of fire. My husband and I have a house. I’m not sure if we live in a forest, or a caravan made out of wood. The forest is burnt. I see these men and horses. I felt that it was a kind of retaliation in return for marrying him.

Next scene:
My husband doesn’t talk. He just smiles. He’s got blue eyes and curly brown hair. It seems like he’s like a guy who has a low IQ, but he’s not retarded. He’s functional, but mentally not a very smart person. He's always in raggedy clothes, in dirty dungarees. When I talked to him, he doesn't understand me. He doesn't talk, he just grunts.

I don't go to work. It seems like I married him to get my freedom. I was attracted to him, not physically, but more of the freedom that he could offer.

Next scene:
I moved away after marrying him. He continued whatever he was doing. I moved to Paris without him. I left him behind. I don't care about him anymore.

I’m trying to create a new life. I’m carrying a brown luggage, wearing a big pink dress and a hat. The city life just amazed me. I wanted more than just living in the cornfield. I see the city. I’m bright eyed seeing all these. People use carriages as transportation. The year is 1907. I’m trying to find a job.

I go where people go to see the girls dance. It’s like a theatre, not a sleazy place. I long to be on that stage, where there are people singing and performing.

I’m passing by that theatre, but I don’t work there. I work somewhere nearby. I am washing plates, working in the kitchen somewhere. It was hard living there. I had to struggle living there. I had to struggle to feed myself.

Going on stage was just a dream that never really came true. The closest I got was seeing the theatre and watching the show. I was never on stage. I was never happy living in Paris. I never found what I wanted. I thought that life would be perfect, but it wasn’t. I had a hard time buying food or finding a house.

I stayed with workers in a staff quarters from the restaurant. I was sharing with all the other women. I never got remarried. I was having a hard life, with no luxuries.

End of life
I’m an old lady. I’m lying on a long couch. I’m wearing a white long sleeved shirt and a black skirt. I see two boys. They are not my children. They are just standing there, they hat are in their hands, they are bowing down looking at me, kind of respecting the dead.

Last thoughts:
I wish I never came to Paris. I wish that I had lived that simple live back home. I gave up everything, to come to Paris, but none of my dreams came true. I’m just happy that my life is over. It seems like I just stopped breathing.

After leaving the body in that life, she went to the spirit realm

Spirit realm
I see a man and a woman dressed in white. They are welcoming me. It’s like in a garden. The man is smiling, just happy to see me. He smiles. He said, “How was the journey?” He said that I was brave.

He tells me that I didn't make the right decision. He said that it was wrong for me to leave my family back there, that I hurt so many people. That even if I achieved my dreams in Paris, it could never undo the damage that I’d done to my family. He’s saying that I hadn’t learnt my lesson.

I shouldn’t have moved. I should have known that Paris wasn’t worth leaving the family for.

Me: "Did you have any parents back then?"

Client: “My parents weren’t around so I was raised by my grandmother and elder brother. My brother was the one that was hurt the most. My younger brother was not old enough to understand. My grandmother just smiles even though she’s hurting inside. My brother had insisted that I stay with them back home on the cornfield and take care of the family."

I guided client to work on forgiving her elder brother from that past life.

Client: “I asked him for forgiveness. He just cries and he forgives me and my grandma forgives me. I understand now that my elder brother loves me and just wanted to protect me.”

I see a lady. She’s all dressed in white. She looks human but I don’t think she is. She’s wearing white long coat with patterns on it. She’s wearing something funny looking on her head.

She told me to close my eyes. She told me to take care of my heart, my stomach. She’s asking me to get healthier. She is now near my feet. She just bows one last bow, then she goes off. There are so many other angels with her, all following her off.

Reflection / Connection to current life:
I feel like I want to escape the kind of life I have now. My dad can be very overbearing sometimes. He dictates what I should do in life, what to study, what job to work in. If it was up to me, I just want to live happily. I just want to see more of the world. But I know it would break his heart if I left him and worked overseas.

Lessons learned
I’m told that I should appreciate my life. Sometimes, I get blinded by the lights, the glamour elsewhere and I don’t appreciate the good things that I have.

Past lifetime as an Emperor’s concubine in ancient China

Client, in his first PLR session saw 4 lifetimes: 2 lifetimes in China, 1 lifetime in USA and another lifetime as a young English boy.  He regressed easily and provided detailed descriptions. This is the second lifetime that he saw in his first session.

Past lifetime as an Emperor’s concubine in ancient China

“I’m in a Chinese palace. I’m a concubine. I’m female. I’m dressing up…..Applying makeup. I have a helper. I have to look beautiful for the emperor. He is going to visit me tonight. I’m excited and happy. So is my helper. I’ve got beautiful smooth beautiful clothes.”

“I’ve got beautiful soft skin. The palace is beautiful, very grand. Lots of ornaments. I’m a dancer. I can dance for the king….I’m very feminine…very seductive.”

“The Emperor comes in, mesmerised by me. The Emperor has a moustache. He is seduced by me. The Emperor is copulating in a chamber. I know I’m going to be pregnant after this. The Emperor is happy with me. He stays the whole night, until morning.”

“It is morning….He’s getting clothed now. He has to leave.”

Next scene:
“I’m giving birth….sweating. pushing. Frantic….difficult birth.”

“The Empress is here. She wants to take my baby because she doesn’t have any children of her own. I said, “No, please.” I begged her not to take my baby. But she takes it anyway, there’s nothing I can do. My helper / my maid is begging her not to….There’s a lot of blood.”

“I saw a pair of scissors. I’m stabbing myself in the middle of my stomach with a pair of scissors. There’s no point of living anymore when my baby is kidnapped.”

“My maid is there, she tried to stop me. She’s sad to see me go….”

“I’m dead…. My soul is leaving the room. I see my maid crying… sad. I see my body limped on the bed, full of blood. I see my beautiful jewellery, ornaments. I’m floating on top of the palace. I see the Empress taking my baby away. I see the Emperor busy with his affairs. I’m floating away.”

“I feel resentment towards the Empress. She feels like my mother in current life.”
“I feel sorry for the Empress that she has to do that. But I forgive her. She didn’t have her children. She's jealous that the Emperor likes me, she’s just vicious.”

Spirit realm:
“I’m floating in the clouds. I’m being cared by the Jade Emperor. I’m dressed in white. I see Kuan Yin. Kuan Yin is looking after me. I’m dressed in white. I’m female, lying on the bed, being cared by Kuan Yin. Kuan Yin cleanses…. caring, blessing, healing.”

“She’s healing my stab area. I’m crying because I feel blessed. I feel loved by Kuan Yin. I feel her love very much….immense love.”

“She says that it’s ok. That she loves me. She says, “Let it go, forgive, be happy.”

Note:

This explains why client doesn’t have a good relationship with his mother in current life. He also had problems with women, as he had the perception that women give him problems.
