From rags to riches to rags again

Horrible bosses and nasty colleagues? You could have met them in a past life.

Client regressed to her past lifetime in USA. An influenza epidemic forced him to move to another town and start anew. He started as a cobbler and later became a rich but greedy businessman. He died poor and alone after being cheated by business partners, whom client recognised as her ex-colleagues in the current life. She learned a lot of life lessons from viewing this past life.

I see very green grass. It’s very windy. I see a tree. I’m holding a gun, which is smaller than a rifle. I’m wearing a cowboy shirt and a cowboy hat. I’m helping the sheriff. There was a bank robbery. Four robbers ran to the jungle. They hid there. I went to the jungle with the sheriff. We could not find them, so we had to go back. The bank is a white building made of wood, standing by itself. It is one storey tall. There are no cars there. People are walking. The sheriff has a horse.

Next scene:
The town is empty, due to influenza. Many people died. Many people left the town. It is in San Diego. People are packing and leaving. I’m walking on the street. There’s no one at the police station. I wanted to hire a carriage to travel in. The carriage was there but there was no one there. I had to walk. I went  home and packed. I have a wife and a daughter. We walked with other villagers from another village. We don’t know where to go. We just follow where everyone else is going. Everyone is walking on the road. We tie our clothes like a big pack, with a rope around it and carry on the back. Some people made a wheeled contraption and they are putting some of their stuff on the top. The rich ones have horses and they left earlier.

Me: How did this influenza come about?
One of the villagers came back from another village. He had his business there and he came back with flu and spread to people. He had fever and died. Then his all his family died. After that, others had the flu.

Next scene:
I arrived at a new town. I told them I could mend shoes. I have leather pieces with me. I took up a job there. My new house has an apple tree. I see my daughter picking apples.

I recognise my boss as my ex-boss in the current life. He owns the shoe making shop. I work for this shoe shop. I do mending only. I sell the leather pieces to him. I have a lot of leather pieces with me, which I brought along from my previous town. My boss is very stingy. He pays me very little. I fought with him. I want to punch him. My leather pieces are of very good quality, but he pays me very little for it. I don’t like him. He chased me out. I was mending shoes for people outside the shop, and he chased me away. He didn’t pay me. So, I left. I decided that I would do it on my own.

Next scene:
I own a shop now. I’m a cobbler. My daughter is married by now. Her husband, my son in-law works with me. I recognise him as my cousin in the current life, who is in primary school. He’s very smart. He can help me to manage my shop. I like him. My wife wears jewelleries. She is very rich because I’m now rich. I buy leather pieces from another town. I travel for business. I have my own carriage.

My shop is called Leigh’s cobbler. I have a white building, three stories high. I’m very rich. I live in New Jersey. I have a second wife. My second wife’s father is a banker. I’m wearing a tall black hat and boots. I’m holding a stick. I’m old walking on the street with a pipe, smoking. I have a thick moustache. My second wife is very young. I had expanded my business to another town. I still have my cobbler business and other businesses. I’m a merchant. My first wife is in another town. I can’t go back to my first wife. She hates me. My daughter hates me because after I became rich, I never took care of them.

End of life and reflections
I feel sad. My second wife left me. I’m poor. I became bankrupt. I got cheated of a lot of money by my business partners. They are laughing. They want my business. Also, I had wanted to be mayor. I got very rich and became greedy. I was too hungry for power. I competed, but I didn’t win because I wasn’t the richest. I got cheated by politics.

Now, I’m sick in the hospital. Everyone left me. I’m alone in the hospital. I cough. The doctor says my lung is not good. Another doctor says its pneumonia. They quarantined me. They are going to leave me here to die. They don’t allow people to see me. They put me into a dark room. They said it cannot be cured. They say it is dangerous and will spread to people. No one was allowed to come near me. No medical staff attended to me.

I’m alone in the dark room. I feel scared,…sad. I also feel anger… Anger with people. When I was rich, they came to me. When I’m bankrupt and ill, they all stayed away from me. I feel regret. I wish that my first wife and my daughter are here. I had left them for the second wife. Now, in my darkest hour, I see everyone walking away from me. I’m alone. The year is 1955. I was 63 year old.

I recognise my business partners as two of my ex colleagues. They had also betrayed me in the current life when I first joined the company. They had cast aspersions on my credibility and tried to get me into trouble.

Past lifetime in Paris in year 1907

Client wanted to find out why she could never sustain a romantic relationship, with a repeated pattern of 7 failed relationships in the past. She also had the tendency to cut off family members over small issues. In her first PLR session, she regressed to her past life as a woman in USA who married a man she did not love, for what she thought was freedom, but the freedom was just an illusion. She moved to Paris to start a new life, attracted by the glitz and glamour. However all her dreams did not materialise and she died with regrets in that life. She sees some parallels to her current life.

Photo: Paris France Theatre Del' Opera postcard in 1907

I’m lying down at a tree. There is a corn field nearby.

I’m in a pink and white chequered dress. I have blonde hair, blue eyes and chewing on a corn stalk. I’m an 18 year-old girl. I am alone. I live nearby.

Next scene:
My house is red and some parts are white. It’s made of wood. It’s a house by itself. There are old stuff in the house. The wall paper is old and there are old lamps. There is an arm chair, and a rocking chair. There are flower designs on the wallpaper and carpet. From the outside it looks like a farm barnhouse, but from the inside, it looks like an old lady’s kind of house. There’s a well stocked kitchen.

Next scene:
I see an old lady and a young boy. She’s got white hair. The old lady looks after the young boy. She is his grandmother. There is a man, like an older brother. I see this man, a young boy, 8 years old and that lady. I feel like I’m not part of the family. I am outside looking in. It’s like I have to sneak and peep from outside, as I don’t want to them to catch me looking at them.

Next scene:
This man, who is my elder brother is pointing a long rifle at me. I’m at the porch. He doesn’t want me to go inside, he doesn’t want me. He wants to get rid of me. He said that I shouldn’t return to the family. His name is Henry Simon. He says, “Go home. Do not come back.”

My name is Katie. I’m in USA. Earlier, I had run away with another man and they are all mad at me. The man I chose is like a poor person, someone who just takes care of the horses. They are mad at me. They kinda cut me off.

Next scene:
I married the guy at office. I wear this nice long wedding gown, in white. For some reason, he’s still wearing that raggedy clothes. The office had yellow wallpaper. I see pews, benches. There’s barely 10 people there.

This guy I married, is like a handyman, a guy who works in a stable and doing odd jobs. “He doesn’t talk much. I don’t know why I married him.

I think I married him because I wanted to escape my family. He was freedom. He could do everything he wanted, go anywhere he wanted. I liked that idea. I don’t feel like I am in love with him.

I was attracted to that freedom… I thought that I would have that kind of freedom when I married him. I didn’t have that kind of freedom when I was staying with my family. My older brother was just too much, overprotective.

Next scene:
I see flashes of fire. My husband and I have a house. I’m not sure if we live in a forest, or a caravan made out of wood. The forest is burnt. I see these men and horses. I felt that it was a kind of retaliation in return for marrying him.

Next scene:
My husband doesn’t talk. He just smiles. He’s got blue eyes and curly brown hair. It seems like he’s like a guy who has a low IQ, but he’s not retarded. He’s functional, but mentally not a very smart person. He's always in raggedy clothes, in dirty dungarees. When I talked to him, he doesn't understand me. He doesn't talk, he just grunts.

I don't go to work. It seems like I married him to get my freedom. I was attracted to him, not physically, but more of the freedom that he could offer.

Next scene:
I moved away after marrying him. He continued whatever he was doing. I moved to Paris without him. I left him behind. I don't care about him anymore.

I’m trying to create a new life. I’m carrying a brown luggage, wearing a big pink dress and a hat. The city life just amazed me. I wanted more than just living in the cornfield. I see the city. I’m bright eyed seeing all these. People use carriages as transportation. The year is 1907. I’m trying to find a job.

I go where people go to see the girls dance. It’s like a theatre, not a sleazy place. I long to be on that stage, where there are people singing and performing.

I’m passing by that theatre, but I don’t work there. I work somewhere nearby. I am washing plates, working in the kitchen somewhere. It was hard living there. I had to struggle living there. I had to struggle to feed myself.

Going on stage was just a dream that never really came true. The closest I got was seeing the theatre and watching the show. I was never on stage. I was never happy living in Paris. I never found what I wanted. I thought that life would be perfect, but it wasn’t. I had a hard time buying food or finding a house.

I stayed with workers in a staff quarters from the restaurant. I was sharing with all the other women. I never got remarried. I was having a hard life, with no luxuries.

End of life
I’m an old lady. I’m lying on a long couch. I’m wearing a white long sleeved shirt and a black skirt. I see two boys. They are not my children. They are just standing there, they hat are in their hands, they are bowing down looking at me, kind of respecting the dead.

Last thoughts:
I wish I never came to Paris. I wish that I had lived that simple live back home. I gave up everything, to come to Paris, but none of my dreams came true. I’m just happy that my life is over. It seems like I just stopped breathing.

After leaving the body in that life, she went to the spirit realm

Spirit realm
I see a man and a woman dressed in white. They are welcoming me. It’s like in a garden. The man is smiling, just happy to see me. He smiles. He said, “How was the journey?” He said that I was brave.

He tells me that I didn't make the right decision. He said that it was wrong for me to leave my family back there, that I hurt so many people. That even if I achieved my dreams in Paris, it could never undo the damage that I’d done to my family. He’s saying that I hadn’t learnt my lesson.

I shouldn’t have moved. I should have known that Paris wasn’t worth leaving the family for.

Me: "Did you have any parents back then?"

Client: “My parents weren’t around so I was raised by my grandmother and elder brother. My brother was the one that was hurt the most. My younger brother was not old enough to understand. My grandmother just smiles even though she’s hurting inside. My brother had insisted that I stay with them back home on the cornfield and take care of the family."

I guided client to work on forgiving her elder brother from that past life.

Client: “I asked him for forgiveness. He just cries and he forgives me and my grandma forgives me. I understand now that my elder brother loves me and just wanted to protect me.”

I see a lady. She’s all dressed in white. She looks human but I don’t think she is. She’s wearing white long coat with patterns on it. She’s wearing something funny looking on her head.

She told me to close my eyes. She told me to take care of my heart, my stomach. She’s asking me to get healthier. She is now near my feet. She just bows one last bow, then she goes off. There are so many other angels with her, all following her off.

Reflection / Connection to current life:
I feel like I want to escape the kind of life I have now. My dad can be very overbearing sometimes. He dictates what I should do in life, what to study, what job to work in. If it was up to me, I just want to live happily. I just want to see more of the world. But I know it would break his heart if I left him and worked overseas.

Lessons learned
I’m told that I should appreciate my life. Sometimes, I get blinded by the lights, the glamour elsewhere and I don’t appreciate the good things that I have.

Past lifetime in USA - Trekking the Grand Canyon and living a gay lifestyle

Client, in his first PLR session saw 4 lifetimes: 2 lifetimes in China, 1 lifetime in USA and another lifetime as a young English boy.  He regressed easily and provided detailed descriptions. This is the third lifetime that he saw in his first session.

“I see mountains. I’m a man. I’m walking on really rocky terrain...climbing.”

“I’m a white young man, carrying a backpack, I’m walking. I’m trekking on my own adventure. I’m alone.”

“It’s rocky….full of stones. It’s a hot day. I’m drinking water. I’m sweating. I’m talking a rest. I see people walking up as well. It’s a rocky mountain.”

“I see two young men. They are chatting with me. One said, “I thought we could up together.” We became friends. They share their food and stories with me. We become good friends.”

“This is 1980’s. In America. At the Grand Canyon.”

“There’s an accident. One of the guys fell. I tried to hold on to his hand but couldn’t. It was slippery, he lost his balance and fell of the cliff. He hit a rock and died. From three friends, became two. It’s just the two of us.”

Next scene:
“We got on well. We became lovers. The tragedy brought us closer together. We have a life together. A happy life in San Francisco.”

“I’m a physiotherapist. He's a computer technician. We have a dog. We were happy together. Laughing, joking.”

Next scene:
“I’ve died. It could be AIDS. I see spots on my body. I’ve really shrunk as a man. My partner is looking after me.”

Last thoughts:
“I’m really sorry. Sorry I’ve been foolish and careless and hope that he’ll be fine and safe and happy. It could be in the seventies or eighties. I was in my house on a white double bed.

“There are lots of books. It’s a basement flat. I can smell bacon. I see orange juice, flowers, coffee.”

“I’m dying. It was a painful death. I’ve no control of myself.”

Connection / similarities to current life:
I recognise him as another friend of mine in the current life. I like nature. I liked the job that I did, as a physiotherapist in the past life. (Client’s job is in a related field in the current life.)
